Part of your grade for this course includes written submissions in an Academic Eye Journal. (You will not be graded on the individually entries but feedback will be given, however, if you fail to submit all 6 entries, your overall course grade will be affected).
Here are the guidelines for the journal:
- at least 6 separate entries (approximately 2 pages doublespaced)
- students should follow proper writing ettiquette (complete sentences, check grammar, punctuation, developed paragraphs, introduction and conclusion)
- all submissions are due at the final individual meetings but students are highly encouraged to submit entries throughout the term.
In addition to one mandatory topic (workshops review), students will need at least 5 more entries.
Topics can include (but are not limited to):
first impressions
educational background
anxiety regarding school (writing, public speaking, technology, etc.)
smarthinking review
